Core Focus of the Project:
Eastside was established as an independent high school committed to helping low-income, first-generation students prepare for and succeed in four-year colleges. Over the years, the school has expanded its support model based on the needs of its students as they progress through college and begin their professional careers.
Key components of Eastside’s model include:
- A robust alumni support program, offering college and career coaches who guide students after graduation
- An extended school day (8:30 am to 5:00 pm)
- Year-round learning, with all students participating in a summer session
- A boarding program for students who benefit from a structured and supportive residential environment
